End of Course (EOC) Exam Information
The U.S. History EOC Assessment measures student achievement of the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards (NGSSS). The first U.S. History EOC Assessment test administration occurred in spring 2013. Four administrations are offered each school year and occur in the fall, winter, spring, and summer.
The following students are eligible to participate in a U.S. History EOC Assessment administration:
The U.S. History EOC is computer-based and is given in one 160-minute sessions, with a break after the first 80 minutes. It is a multiple-choice test with 60 questions.
The following students are eligible to participate in a U.S. History EOC Assessment administration:
- students who need to earn a passing score for a standard diploma in a U.S. History EOC administration
- students who have not yet taken the assessment to be averaged as 30% of their course grade
- students who are in grade forgiveness programs and wish to retake the assessment to improve a course grade
- students in a credit acceleration program (CAP) who wish to take the assessment to earn course credit

Achievement Levels for the U.S. History EOC Assessment Scale Scores (325 to 475)
Level 1 = 325-377 Level 2 = 378-396 Level 3 = 397-416 Level 4 = 417-431 Level 5 = 432-475 A passing score for this EOC is 397 |
Students must earn a score of 397 or higher in order to pass the U.S. History EOC. This score will then count as 30% of a student's overall course grade (exempting Honors and AP Students) and these scores will also be factored into the overall school grade.
